Medieval Monsters: Death Pin
This pin is the third in a series inspired by the medieval period of art history. From magical creatures sniffing their own butts to nuns plucking penises from a tree, the pages of the illuminated manuscripts hold many fascinating drawings. These inspired me to create this pin series featuring reimagined creatures from this time period.
Often depicted as a skeletal being with maggots or hanging entrails, Death would show up in medieval drawings with a scythe, arrows or other weapons, appearing to hunt humans. This is my version inspired by those medieval renderings.
